Learn how to take an idea for a song from concept to production.
Join us for the second Art of Songwriting Workshop at Nevada School of the Arts!
Over three immersive days, participants will collaborate to write and produce the official theme song for our 2025 Gala—gaining hands-on experience in songwriting, recording, and music production.
Work side by side with professional musicians and teaching artists as you explore lyric writing, melody creation, harmonic structure, and the process of shaping an idea into a fully produced track—all within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Songwriting sessions will be led by Elisa Fiorillo, acclaimed vocalist and lyricist known for her work with Prince, Josh Groban, and Savage Garden, as well as her Billboard-charting songwriting credits. Elisa will guide participants in crafting lyrics and harmonies that reflect the Gala’s theme.
Once the song is written, producer Aaron Ramsey will lead the music production component. Participants will learn the basics of recording, mixing, and editing using Reaper, a free, professional-grade software—proving that powerful creative tools don’t need to come with a high price tag.
Ideal for aspiring songwriters, musicians, and creatives curious about how a song evolves—from the first spark of inspiration to the final mastered mix.
