Message from the President

Welcome!

Whether you are a Las Vegas local or a visitor from elsewhere looking to find out more about our performing and visual arts school, I invite you on this journey to explore more about the vital role NSA plays in arts education and cultural awareness in Southern Nevada. NSA was founded in 1977 as a summer program on Mt. Charleston. Shortly afterwards, the community and its leaders recognized the immense value of a conservatory of the arts and with the generous support of the City of Las Vegas, NSA moved to its current home located at the Historic Fifth Street School in downtown Las Vegas.

NSA has played a life changing role in the lives of generations of Las Vegas families. Our robust scholarship program has enabled thousands of deserving students, regardless of financial ability, to enjoy an education in the arts. Our array of programs from piano, strings, and chamber music to visual arts, music production, and early childhood music education has provided opportunities for our students to continue their studies at world renowned colleges, win orchestra positions, and enter the arts workforce as effective leaders and teachers.

As we approach our 50th anniversary, NSA is growing to accommodate our rapidly expanding community of Las Vegas. Today, our 3 million residents expect a high-quality arts education for their families, and with a faculty comprised of graduates from the Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Institute, Indiana University, The Juilliard School, The Art Institute of Chicago, and many other notable institutions, we are proud to offer a truly world-class standard in arts education.

Please feel free to reach out to any of us with questions or concerns. We hope you enjoy your visit to our online home and look forward to welcoming you into our Las Vegas home soon!

Warm wishes,

Raja Rahman
