Garret Denham, a Las Vegas native, has been pursuing the piano since the age of 5 and has been featured in local newspapers for piano competitions at an early age. He began his serious studies with pianist and Blüthner artist Pierce Emata and continued his studies at Utah State University where he holds a B.M. in Piano Performance. During his time at USU, Garret Denham has participated in numerous competitions and performances and was awarded with multiple prizes, including the title of being a featured concerto soloist for the USU Symphony Orchestra. As a collaborative artist, Garret assisted in accompanying various college musicians throughout their careers for varying performances. Garret Denham also held the position as the Program Coordinator for Utah State University’s Youth Conservatory – where he assisted in the education of aspiring pre-college pianists throughout Cache Valley. Garret Denham enjoys teaching students from the ages of 8-18 and preparing ambitious pianists for competitions and college auditions. Currently, Garret upholds a Nevada School of the Arts piano faculty position and teaches at Southern Nevada Music – a partnering company with Steinway & Sons. Garret Denham is continuing his piano studies with Raja Rahman.
