NSA alumni, Hannah Hafen is a distinguished music teacher and accomplished cellist from Las Vegas, Nevada. Born into a non-musical family, Hannah’s unique musical journey began at the age of three when she started playing the cello using the Suzuki method. Just a short time after, she began studying with Robin Reinarz from the age of five to eighteen at Nevada School of the Arts.

In high school, Hannah performed in various competitions throughout the valley, securing 2nd place in the Las Vegas Silver State Competition and 1st Place in the Las Vegas Bolognini Competition. She pursued her passion for music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), studying under Dr. Andrew Smith, the first chair of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and earning a degree in Cello Performance.

For the past decade, Hannah has been imparting her knowledge and passion for music across the Las Vegas valley, teaching a diverse range of students from adults to children. Hannah also lends her expertise as a cello coach for Zion’s Youth Symphony and Chorus and serves as a Para Professional at Legacy High School, Somerset Lone Mountain, and Desert Pines High School.

Her performance career features collaborations with renowned artists such as Journey, Jonathan Cain, and Bad Bunny, and appearances in multiple Latin Grammy events. Highlights of her performing career include playing at the 2023 Formula 1 Race and the 2024 Super Bowl.

Along with her position as a private cello teacher, Hannah is an active member of several local music ensembles including Pop Strings, Pop Symphonic, Premiere Wedding Music Design, Violution, Las Vegas Music Oasis, Meadows Wedding Music & Events, and LMS Entertainment, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the arts.
