Elisa Fiorillo began singing at the age of six. Most of her childhood was spent in musical theater, performing in classics such as The Sound Of Music, A Christmas Carol, and The Music Man. She spent her early years auditioning in New York City, appearing in commercials for Duncan Hines, Aquafresh, and Kiddie City.

Growing up in Philadelphia in a musical family, Elisa was surrounded by excellence. Her mother, Betty, was a professional singer, and her father, Alexander Fiorillo, was a concert pianist and Classical Piano Professor at Temple University. As one of only five students to study with the legendary Vladimir Horowitz, her father set a high standard for musicality—a standard Elisa now brings to her Las Vegas singing lessons.

After performing on Broadway in The Three Musketeers, Elisa moved to California and won Star Search in 1985. This launched a major recording career with Chrysalis Records. Her 1988 self-titled debut album featured the Top 10 dance hit “Who Found Who” with producer Jellybean Benitez. Her second album, I Am (1991), was recorded at Paisley Park Studios, where she began a career-defining collaboration with Prince. Elisa co-wrote the hit single “On The Way Up,” which peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Throughout her career, Elisa’s vocal talents have been featured on iconic Prince projects, including the Graffiti Bridge, Batman, and Diamonds and Pearls albums. In 2009, she joined the New Power Generation (NPG), touring the world with Prince until 2014. From the Montreux Jazz Festival to the Welcome To America tour, Elisa gained a lifetime of elite performance knowledge that she now shares with students seeking voice lessons in Las Vegas.

Following Prince’s passing in 2016, Elisa became a staple of the local music scene. She performed as the lead singer for the Bruce Harper Big Band for over four years, headlining sold-out shows at The Smith Center. Recently, she produced and starred in Soul-Full at The Industrial; Broadway World called the performance “explosive,” and the Review-Journal’s John Katsilometes noted the show “blew the roof off the place.”

In addition to her work at the Nevada School of the Arts, Elisa spends her summers in Minneapolis mentoring teens on the recording process, the music industry, and the art of songwriting. Whether you are looking for professional coaching or beginner singing lessons in Las Vegas, Elisa’s storied career offers students an unparalleled musical education.
