Andrew Amaya is a professional classical guitarist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Andrew started taking lessons at the age of 12 under the guidance of Mel Hallam. After graduating from the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, he began his advanced guitar studies under the tutelage of world-renowned Colombian guitarist Ricardo Cobo. Andrew is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Andrew is recognized as an award-winning musician receiving prizes from multiple competitions including University of Denver Guitar Festival & Competition, UNLV Performing Arts Center Classical Guitar Competition, Orange County Guitar Circle International Youth Competition, and Best in Southern Nevada Guitar Competition.
